Default Mounting the esc on the servo

As above , is this a big no no ?
Ive a ko esc and the receiver wires to short so firstly im going to try and see if its ok to mount the speedo on the servo , its an ace servo with an alloy body.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I and a lot of others mount ESC's on top of servo's in the pred with no problem at all. Can you not the change the wires?

I could change the wires , im going to stick the esc at the bottom of the servo , if i have any heat issues ill change the wires , its just ive no heatshrink small enough and dont really want to chop and change them just yet.
