Default X6 build

Hello

when you people have built your X6 did the aluminium inserts at the front stand proud of the surrounding plastic. The aluminium inserts are quite loose and after putting the nose piece on you can see the edge of the hex on the bottom of the insert. There is a gap between the nose piece and the chassis. Anyone had this problem and if so do you do anything about it. Grind material off etc

Keith

the inserts should sit inside the holes for them in the chassis. Make sure the hexs are lined up correctly and if they arnt then give em a twist with some pliers then tap em.. don't be afraid to hit them quite hard [ya may need too ]

p.s. im not taking any responsibility for you hitting them too hard

screw a screw in from the top to pull them in all the way, just put a big washer under it so it doesnt pull through

Oops!

Pulled them in with bolt and washer. Much better. Needed a lot of force though,

We tried to make it so they would not come out. Sometimes we do things too well...
