Default do motor coolers give you any advantage

i have a fastrax motor cooling system as pictured below,

my question is, do they really make a difference and if so what are the advantages of using one of these and how long do you put it on the motor for and how long before the race do you remove it,
.

Unless you've water proofed your sensor board it's not advisable to run one on brushless as they can build up water on the sensor board and send it crazy...

Did on my Novak when I first switched from brushed to brushless.

I always thought that you left it on the car, it keeps motor temps down to allow for slightly higher gearing

as post 2 these are meant to cool the motor and be removed for the race, weigh too much to leave on and run on 12volts they do create condensation on/in the motor, were more for brushed set ups
