Default Charging issue...

My Wife, being the legend that she is just bought me an Orion Touch charger as a present, which i love, however i am having an issue.

I have just moved over to Lipo and without the balancer they charge no problem, however i don't want them to charge without.

Now i have 2 x sets of saddles, however i think i may have bought the wrong balancing lead.

The lead i bought was:

Now i have tried a couple of configurations as i am not sure which is correct.

First config is using that lead to bridge the gap in the middle, then into balancer. Second config is having the corallys on the outside and bridging the cells with just a normal bit of wire.

Both ways the charger just gives a voltage error so something is definitely not right. The more i look at the lead, the more it looks like it's for a stick pack with the 2mm going directly into the balancing port on the cell.

If so can someone point me in the direction of the right lead?

May aswell ask another question while im here. I have this really terrible slow charger for my transmitter, it takes hours. I use an Esprit III and i've never had a decent charger for it yet. I tried to setup the Orion Touch which charged it for about 30 seconds before saying it was complete. Can get the config right, not sure if it's just me.

What does everyone use to charge their cells?

Thank you in advance for any answers.

You need a large gauge wire to bridge the gap between the two saddles and a 2mm socket soldered to one end to plug the balance lead into like this one:

I also got this cable but was too short so got the longer one:

Guessing i am not the only one that had an issue like this.

The LRP balancing lead i bought from LRP, the wires are so short, i can't get the lipo bag shut properly.
