Default win xp v slow load with white bar

ive just bought a 2nd laptop, not bad spec etc. gateway m680. 1gb ram,2mhz pentium M,100gb hd,x700 ati card.

it came with a fresh install of xp with service pack 3 on but it takes forever to load, about +90 seconds from power on to the desktop.

theres a black screen with a white bar that shows up,that takes ages to dissapear, once its gone then xp flies to the desktop.

cant ever remember seeing this on my other pc and its certainly not on any of the kids laptops/pc's either.

i just reinstalled xp again and its still there..puzzled,any ideas what causes it etc and how to get rid?
?
ive added a bootlog.looks like some drivers arent loading..im clueless as to where to go from here

start-run- type in MSCONFIG and check the time to show OS selection, should be 30 reduce it to 5.

Also, look under the startup tag and see if there is anything odd in there.

just looked at the list, does look like there is a few hardware issue's, go into device manager and see if there are any exclamation marks, might need to delete the item from device manager, and allow XP to download a new driver?

what about if you expand the devices in device manager, as it looks like there isn't something right with the instal.

Normally the wireless makes windows hang like that, you may find the problem will return eventually, although i have not seen it in a while.
