carisma gtb steering servo setup
Hi all, this be the first of stupid questions, just bought a used GTB from this forum, waiting for new ESC to arrive but in the mean time Im looking around it, trying to sort any niggles and tidy it to my OCD level
looking at the steering the servo saver sits nicely at 90 degree, but when the servo is viewed side through the battery area, the servo horn is leant 45 degrees towards the front of the car, I would have thought that in theory you would want a longer turnbuckle and have the horn at 90 degree when centred?

Mine is at 90 degrees. The link can be lengthened.

Thanks. My ocd just cant live with it. It also means that in one direction the horn can lockout as it goes past a certain point

thanks, I think the bigger problem was that someon fitted a bit of an odd servo and the splie is further back than it would be on a stock setup
I have made another linkage and will remake it all later when I get round to fitting the new savox having enough problems just getting all the stuff in there LOL, ESC with capacitors and fan, wiring everywhere

Hey Tony,
What servo are you using? If it's a mini servo like the Savox sh1257mg you may need a set of mounts to fit it neatly and save as much space as possible [/IMG] That is how the servo sits in my car. Leaving Pleanty of room for a hobbywing speedo. |
