Default B4 Newbie Doobie Doo advice please

Just got a second hand B4. Looking for recommendations for pinion / spur to suit a Lipo & Mamba Max 5700kv motor combo. Think that's equivalent to a 9 / 10turn ish. I've currently got it on a 19 pinion and I'm not sure what the spur is, perhaps kit (81t?) Car will be running on indoor carpet.

Ta

Oh, and any other newbie advice, like 'always check such and such or the thingybob falls off' or whatever

Thanking you.

19t pinion will fine on an 81t standard spur, if you take the spur off it will have the number of what it is where the slipper pads sit in it, just give the car a check over after each meeting or any hard crashes you have for any cracks in wishbones, shocktowers etc and loose screws etc, redo your shocks maybe every 4-8 meetings or so depending on how much dirt your car picks up from the track.

Default First across the line?

Have a look at how other people have set up the B4's. Especially in the tyre department which is extremely important. Get those right and you are half way there to a good setup. If you're not sure ask somebody, people are always happy to help, chat and show.

Also remember its not a case of being the fastest car out there, but the fastest car that actually finishes the race!!!
