im on my 10th charge of my lipo pack and it still charges to 5000mah but only reads 8.14v as its final voltage

isnt it meant to be 8.4v is this normal ?

Lipos should charge to a final voltage of 8.40V (4.20V per cell if balanced correctly) providing you are using the right kind of charger on the right settings.

What are you using?

Could it be your charger has a 5000mah safety lockout and it's finishing then? That would explain why it's voltage is lower.

I would go with what Super-Dan said, most LiPO chargers have a 5000mAh cut-off, which must be changed.

Stick the pack on again, and see if it charges to 8.4V.

This may only occur after a few charges as LiPOs' capacity increases over the first few runs, so you'll actually get longer run-times after a few cycles.
