For the LiPos, I'd look at some Intellect (or IP) LiPos, they do both 3800 35C and 5000mAh 30C packs, they are reasonably priced, and perform well. Or, try the new Trakpower Dark Series 40C 5000mAh pack for a bit more performance at a slightly higher price.

Take a look at the Speed Passion electronics - again they are reasonably priced and go well. A GT2.0 and new V3.0 motor combo would be good, though you can run any motor you like (obviously). Also, take a look at the Tekin ESCs and motors, an RS (the standard, not the Pro) would be good in a 2WD, and if running a stock motor, gives the timing boost function which can give a bit of extra midrange punch.

These elecronics have proven themselves to be reliable, and are from reputable manufacturers, so you'll probably have less issues in the long run (assuming that something'll go wrong, which it probably won't).
