Default Best 4wd servo

Hi All,

Had decided to get the S9550 as its light/small etc, but just found out its been discontinued!

So whats the best servo for 4wd cars? Are there an other smaller than standard ones (or lighter even more importanly, my car 501x comes in nearly 200g overweight!)?

Does anyone know about Futaba's new brushless motor servo's?

Cheers,

Dave

Dave, i run the ko pds 4213 ics servo. It's low profile like the 9550 and has been plenty fast enough this year.
There are two on the bay at the minute.

Another vote for the low profile KO. I have one in the 2wd but fancy one for the 4wd also.

Not that I'm a technophobe or anything, but am I right in thinking KO servo's require extra wires or something?

While I am at it, I assume that servo is ok without needing the programming tool etc?

Also, will it work in HRS mode with none KO transmitters?

HRS is a digital signal which requires a digital servo, the 2413 is digital so it will work fine.

Griff, do you have the separate programming tool too, or do you use as standard?

No need for the programing tool, I don't know anyone that has one or infact has ever used it.

The software works just fine in it's factory settings. Most things that are adjustable with the programing tool you can change from any decent transmitter anyway.

Hi all,

I have the same question as I'm looking to get a servo to fit into the B44 when it arrives, only a week now or at least I hope .

Sounds like the K.O 2413 is the one to go for. Is this still the case, or is there anything else that's come out since this thread that I should consider?

I run a Ko 2363,Hi torque, digital jobby. (rb5 and trf501x)

I did have a spare one for sale, but im just awaiting payment but would heartily reccommend one.

Not cheap, but if you buy cheap, you usually find you buy twice.

They also do a high speed version of mine, but not as much torque. I chose the torquier jobbie and its certainly speedy enough for me
