Had a bit of a weird one, had a bad landing off the jump at Worksop on Sunday in my 2wd final, and from that point had no bottom end power at all, and slightly off on top end too. When checking afterwards it dometimes wouldn't move at all from a standing start, though sometimes does and would rev in my hands. Have checked and can't see any loose wires/sensor lead, although the motor wires were hot at the end of tha run..
Anyone know whats likely causing the problem? Sensor lead/esc or motor??

Sounds like the sensor system has taken a hit somewhere, you need to check the lead first, replace it and go from there.

i had one of the speed passion plugs come off and the motor was running on 2 phases. this caused a loss in power, lots of heat and maybe it would go from a standstill sometimes. check your leads again bro!

Worth checking your rotor magnet hasn't loosened from the shaft.

I had an SP V3.0 motor do exactly the same thing over the jumps at Ardent ... it went high resistance then the LPF esc let go. When I put it on another ESC it kept melting one phases wire off the plug, sometimes only enough to go dry joint so was hard to spot.
That is one of the reasons I have made the decision to change motors. |
