Default Just for a a go on a track?

Hi I have a Schumacher cat sx2 and I am looking not to race but to have a drive around on a track. Does batley offer this? Can I just go and run my car? What are the oPening and closing times if available and where exactly is it? Post code would help thanks

The track is for the use of members and visitors to the club.

If everyone only used the track to have a run around - there would be no club. The aim of the club is to have race meetings, drivers pay annual membership and pay race fees and this helps towards the costs of running meetings, maintaining the track etc.

It is very difficult to keep people off the track but it is not something we like to encourage.

The best thing would be to come and do a race meeting. You'll get 5 or six runs plus as much practice as you can squeeze in before it starts. It's seven quid to race for non members I think. If you haven't raced before there will be plenty of people willing to help you out. I did my first meeting at batley about 3 years ago and had a blast despite finishing stone last lol.

You've picked a great club, you need to turn up on Sunday (This Sunday 3rd April) around 11am-12noon (Somebody will confirm times here I hope). Or to watch turn up around 1pm-2pm until 4pm-ish and there'll be loads of people around to speak to.

Spenborough Baths
Bradford Road , Rawfolds , Cleckheaton , England , UNITED KINGDOM (Postal Code: WF15 6LW)

Drive in the entrance and through the car park at the front, then round to the far left. Track is on the grass at the back.

Does this get sorted out on race day ? How can I get there from Huddersfield by bus or do I need to get dropped off as obv only 16

Not obv you were only 16, how was it obv? Im not sure on the public transport, you may be best going with a friend or parents, someone who can drive you there.

Obv the track has been worked on, and in good condition for racing. Seriously you'll love it Don't worry, just turn up and watch and gather some idea of what goes on, then your in a good position to turn up and race next time! (most Sundays it is on)

No it won't, as like Dianne has said the club does not exist for this purpose - it exists so the members can race each other. If people were to just turn up and play with themselves on the track, the club would not exist.

Seriously, show up on Sunday and it'll all come clear.

I started out bashing on the streets/park (long time ago!) but since I found a local club I have never bashed again. Only time I have run the car on the street since is to actually test it, its so rewarding to race against like minded people with RC cars, even more rewarding to do well!! so there is incentive to continue to race, improving, gradually getting better and better with practice and experience.

Just wondering does Batley car club own/rent the land or is it just an agreement with the council

Last time i raced there kids had damaged the track, I think someone said a motorbike had been going round. Was just wondering where the club stands for maybe putting a fence up or maybe it has in the past? saying that they will probably vandalise that to
