Question Cogging

Any ideas on how to prevent cogging.

I'm running an LRP SPX esc with an LRP 8.5 vector motor in my xray t3. The first race everything is fine, recharge/balance the lipo pack then go out for the second and subsequent races and the motor/esc appears to be cogging. I've tried 3 different sensor cables ( 2 of them brand new ) over the past few weeks but it still keeps doing the same. Ive even rebinded the spektrum tx/rx ( I'm using the spektrum module in a futaba 3pks ) but that did no good either.

It runs great when the car is sitting on the stand or when holding the car off the ground but as soon as it gets on the track the problem starts but only after one perfectly good race.

If I can't solve it beforehand next week I'm going to try and swap my futaba fasst rx and use my 4pk tx to see if that makes any difference.

Any other ideas before I start swapping stuff round please.

Could it be your gear mesh that shifts slightly, or perhaps a slightly worn gear in your transmission?
Just a thought since the car runs fine off the ground, but stutters when off.

Have you tried running a lower number on the ESC setting? Maybe you have it set too high for that wind of motor.

dry solder joint on the motor / esc

sensor board breaking down / swap it if you have another motor

I have a BL dyno so if you remind me to pack it I can check out the sensor board and sensor leads a week on Wednesday at the earliest
