I have a lipo and the lipo i just bought is somewhat too tight and a little to high for the battery tray holder is there a way to hold it down

Put some washers under the battery posts. Fit some longer screws. Obviously you will have to clamp the posts with a pair of pliers when you tighten the screws up but it should raise the battery holder up to fit the battery in.

Velcro also comes in very handy for an application like this.
