Default RC10B4.1 Brushless RTR .... competitive ??

Looking to buy one of these now i have sold all my heli stuff

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/associat...products/36535

Will it be competitive as a RTR or will it need upgrading ?? I'm hoping to take it to the outside artificial grass track at TORCH.

Any hop-ups/upgrades i should look to do on the B4.1 ??

Cheers guys, is there a list of recommended upgrades or known weak points that would be advised ??? Probably afford another 60-80 quid on upgrades/spares if worthwhile.

one item is replace the front wishbones holders for the metal versions. Also replace the plastic servo horn with a metal one and glue the servo saver

I've had one now for about 6 months, and I must say I'm very happy with it. It's plenty fun and spares are widely available, even here in Belgium. Spares which I need loads of being a total noob.

Regarding the servo horn, I 've been thinking of upgrading that, but I find the hole setup confusing. To me it doesn't make sense that the link is behind the horn. When I try to use a alloy one, this setup results in the link touching the servo. Can I just turn the ballstud around?

Can anyone post a pic as to how you all managed to set it up correctly.(the brand and type of servo horn used would also be very helpfull).

Would this be an option? http://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p...168&p_catid=98

Personally I would stick with the plastic servo horn and use that as a servo saver!

They don't break often and if the servo saver is glued up then any crash that is hard enough to snap the servo horn might be hard enough to damage the servo.

They are a great car, we have several running at our club and other than changing the tyres and possibly shock springs/oils there isn't much you need to do to them.
(agree with the aluminium front suspension brace comment)
