Default lrp esc knackered, can i use warranty?

basically, i got an lrp pro reverse with my b4rs. its now on its way out and ive only had it around 13 months, it just glitches and stuff and i was wondering if i could send it back to lrp and get another as an exchange? my mate said that all you have to do is hook it upto a 12v powersupply and boom. then send it off as blown. and lrp will exchange it. is this right?

Erm, not if anyone from Horizon is reading this forum (likely!) Don't damage it intentionally, goes with any product. if it doesn't work, send it off and see what they say.

Have you changed any of the connectors on the speedo.
Have a read of the Warranty Info. Usually any alteration to the connectors invalidates the warranty

I wouldn't do that - but if Horizon start rejecting warranty issues which people genuinely have because they think they blew it up on purpose because they wanted a shiney new one - then we all lose out..

A fault could be any number of things - a loose or broken wire, dodgy plug, etc..

Erm, did i actually read this thread right You want to intentionally blow up a speedo thats already not functioning properly? If it's not working anyway then why the hell would you want to make it 10 times worse??
