Default B4 servo saver.........

Right then....anyone know how to cut down the amount of wheel wobble on it, without gluing it up? I gave up and glued mine, which promptly snapped in half.

Are you sure the wheel wobble is coming from the servo saver or maybe from the linkages and the front uprights and wishbones.

Don't make it all too tight or it will be horrible to drive.

Nope definately the saver. The steering is perfect when it's glued.

Same problem here. When the car is turned on and you try to turn the wheels by hand, it goes way too easy. And even worse, it's not equal on both sides. I have a second hand car, the thread in the plastic where the blue bolt goes now is gone, cause I tried tightening it too much... Once I glued it together, steering was ok in high speed turns, a big difference!

Does the FT kit have that harder spring by defaul? Not sure if I have it or not.

Yes it has the hard spring, it's still not hard enough though. If it were stiffer i would expect the saver to strip instantly.

Ian replace the steering ball crank and make sure you have the HD Spring and big nut.

Agreed, mine is glued.

Schlong (or Harris I forget) as some surprisingly decent GPM (no really) replacement ones, with solid links.

Old thread i know

but , you can get away with gluing it.

Doddy had wobble like crazy on his b4 and it was down to the steering crank not locking under the nut. it dose wear out like most things

the ackerman bar can also wear on the 2 small screws that hold it to the crank, this can cause wobble, and its best to replace it.

Also the steering arms can wear quickly under the ball stud, i glued my ones in, but ran extra thick small neck ones and 3 bump steer washers
