Default Speed Passion ESC Questions

GT2.0 LPF Brushless ESC & GT2.0 Pro Brushless ESC

Is the only diff between the ESC's above the maximum current?

I'm in the market for a new ESC and i think i'm going speed passion but i can't justify the extra £45 for the Pro.

£85 for GT2.0 Pro Brushless ESC seems good value to me.

Anyone got a Speed Passion what is it like to live with?

imho the speed passion is the best on the market, the pro is smoother and has more amps so faster, and higher turn motor

i run the LPF version; very very good, lots of adjustability, but as bigred rightly points out, you got to watch the amps going through it.
I am nearly at the limits of my motor allowance with the 6.5 in it now; and with batteries getting more and more current, the LPF can just about go to a 5.5 turn motor, so if you want to run motors like that, then the PRO is defo the way to go.

...oh, one other thing I didnt know when I bought my setup is that if you use a SP GT esc and a SP v3 motor then the esc has a temperature shut off for both itself AND the motor. Nice

What's it going into, 2 or 4wd ?

I run an 2 LPF's in my 2wd x2c & Mad Rat, the Mad Rat runs a SP V3.0 Comp 8.5T motor running 27/80 gearing & it is very rapid, almost too rapid tbh so i'd never feel the need to go for a quicker motor in 2wd (not in mine anyway) They're easy to programme too.

It is going in a DEX410R.

Im thinking of putting it with a Speed Passion Ultra Sportsman Version 3.0 Sensor Motor 7.5R.

Running indoors.

Gearing something like this: (Spur 87 Pinion 20) 10.74
