Default Associated B4.1FT but what electronics?

Ladies,Gentlemen, Afternoon all.

After much research ( 5 minutes ) i decided to buy the Associated B4.1,but i am completely new to all this, and require guidance. Please.

What servo, motor and esc do you recommend?

Servo wise it must be Savox.

For the motor and esc, i want a good racing system for under £100.00.

Any thoughts ?

Thanks.

Motor ans ESC for under £100 try looking on ebay at the INIX combos, although not BRCA Legal if looking at doing anything but club events, also they come with a program card!

You can always change the motor and get an approved one for racing. The speedo is great and programmable, had no issues with mine.

That's the motor and Speedo that comes in the rtr brushless 4.1, it's not too shoddy indoors, but might need to go to a faster motor outdoors.

I use the reedy combo that came with my RTR for indoor racing.

I have noticed on a big track i top out first but for a short track its very punchy and has loads of useable power.

Yea it sounds good, but i think i want to go for a more competition style setup.

So i have decided :
Tekin Rs pro esc
Speed passion competiton 8.5T motor.

its a little over my budget, but its a good setup.

Thanks

Just to let everyone know i have bought :

a Orca Vritra VTC mk2 Pro speedo.
and a 5.5 Orca RX2 motor.

It seemed liked one of the best competition spec system, and a touch cheaper than Tekin.

Thanks

A 5.5 will be too fast, if not too late change for an 8.5 or higher as you dont have much experience, I dont know anyone who use this fast a motor in 2wd for racing.
I use a 10.5 at the moment in my 2wd as I am just getting back into it but I might go for an 8.5 when we go outdoors.

Agree with Alan, a 5.5 will be way too much power for you.
An 8.5 is much better compromise but depending on where you race even that may be a bit high for you and 10.5 would be better

5.5 is too much power for a 4WD on most tracks!

I can't change it now,its been paid for and everything.BUT its coming with a programmer,so I will set the settings VERY VERY low,and see how that works.
IF its still to fast I'll sell it and buy a 7.5T

Thanks.
