Default Problems with Ko propo esprit Universe3 and RF-901SM connection

TYhe issue im having is when i plug th eRF-901SM module into the TX it doesnt always power the unit up. By that i mean that the red LED light on the RF-901SM is not on. It takes several tries of removing and replaceing and a bit of jiggling about and then it will connect.

Any ideas as its driving me mad

some people wrap a layer of insulation tape around case to make sure there not loose

does this problem occur anytime or is it at a meeting when getting ready to race
ko has had a few problems rather by design than anything else

Having looked and tested someones radio with a similar issue this last weekend, id say that this is the most likely explanation.

We tried different modules, xtals ( this was a 40 meg with the same issue ) and it was determined that the fault is not the connection from the module to the pins, but the pin connection onto the pcb within the tranny itself. Resolder job would be my best guess. Derek Bailey if you`re not brave enough to have a go yourself
