Default Recommended charger

Need a suitable charger for LiPos, 7.4v 5000mAh+ capacity.
Balance, discharge, storage charge etc. Prefer all in one (don't want to be mucking about with PSUs and suchlike) unless i can get the whole lot from one place.
Also, need to be able to order in europe/uk, so i can get it within the week, rather than 2 or 3 weeks, plus customs etc from hobbyking. (Hobby king EU is sold out of chargers)

Budgets between 50 and 70 ish quid.......

All recommendations gratefully received.

(Already looking at the UAC50, Fusion LX60/61 and Orion IQ605...... just don't want to miss a trick!)

Default Charger

UAC50 would be a good bet, dont personally own one but they are available in the UK just about everywhere. One disadvantage of inbuilt PSU is you generally cannot run anything else like warmers or truer etc.

Personally I would build a PSU out of a new PC power supply and buy a seperate charger.

UAC-50 is very good. Never failed a voltage check, charges up to 6A, well made and small enough on the pit table. Note that discharge is only up to 1A, and it doesn't come with one of those adaptor-plate thingies for balance charging, although it does come with a huge number of cables for almost any plug you can imagine. HTH

Default I Max B6 most rate them

If you ever want to add a PSU with extra capabilities you can, most Lipo chargers have the same PCB's inside just go to a race event and listen to the identical alarm sounds

Try giantcod? Have a range of chargers most of which are in stock and delivery is usually pretty quick.

Unlike the Dynamite one (£60 ish, can't remember the model) David Spashett was talking to me about at the 12th National scrutineering. He's now on his third one and that over volted his 1s. Even Adam's all singing all dancing Much-More kit was doing it even though set to zero overvolt.

Default Bargains to be had

If you are only charging 1 cell li-po dont overlook other chargers that are a bit 'old school' like Duratrax Intellepeak Ice - will charge Li-po's ( not balance charge ) perfectly as it was a bit of a pricey bit of kit back in the day. Still charging 1 cell Li-po's / Li-Ion / Ni-mh's happily.
I have owned one for nearly 5 years and bought another on Ebay for £10 inc postage a few months ago ! !

Don't think i'd get far with a 3.7v 1/10th buggy

Have ordered the UAC-50, should be here by the weekend (and it does come with the balance board.)
