Hi all,
Can someone here please tell me how to disassemble the AE shocks? I am lost. Just wanna do some quick cleaning and maintenance of the shock's internal parts.

Use the sharp end of the assembly tool to push the square clip back into the body. Remember to have new parts to hand before you do this as it's more a replacement job than clean & refit.
Worth it as new shock internals not much $$$ and shocks perform much better with them fitted.

Look at the front of the tool. It is cut at an angle. You want to try and get the square retaining clip to unclip with the sharper edge by poking it from the bottom of the shock.
The tool is on the outside of the shock for this ![]() I've never had trouble reusing the internals though as long as you make sure the O-rings are ok and replace when needed. have fun
